THE LOCATION The beautiful area of Gaasperplas used to be a flower exhibition area, the Floriade, 20 years ago. Now you can still enjoy the parks and the lake, all resonating peacefully with its surrounding. Other means of recreation are - sailing, canoeing, camping, horse riding, playing tennis and surfing. For those who want to book a massage or attend a yoga-class here, please feel free to contact me. We are 20 minutes away from Amsterdam City Center by subway, or one hour by bike. The Amsterdam Arena, the Heineken Music Hall, and the Ziggo Dome are all just 10 minutes away. For cyclists, the little villages Weesp, Abcoude, Loosdrecht and Vinkeveen are all close by for more water recreation. You can also rent bikes at Ilma yoga-house, roller skates, or tennis rackets to play on the court. The Ilma Yoga-House has a homey feeling where you can also prepare your own meals or have vegetarian meals provided based on your preference. DIRECTIONSThe yoga- house is based in Nellestein, Gaasperdam. 5 minutes from the AMC Amsterdam BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT From Schiphol Airport: Take the train to Diemen Zuid, Duivendrecht, or Amterdam Central Station From there take the the subway/metro 53, toward GAASPERPLAS it will take approximately 15 min to get to the last stop of the line, GAASPERPLAS Also check:
BY FOOT/WALKING From the subway, follow the red bicycle path to the right. Continue until you see a blue school on the right, and a tennis court on the left. Continue until you reach a junction, turn this runs all the way until you will see a blue school on your right hand side and a tennis court on your left, continue straight on until you reach a junction,there turn left, then go straight ahead until you see a lake and small boats, than at the last block on your right you have reached block L Your destination, Leerdamhof 471.
